train on The Bluebell RailwayLeaving the Sloop public house (OS ref. 385243) on your left, walk along the road for 150 metres. Turn left into the drive of Bacon Wish and Field Cottage (signposted West Sussex Border Path). In 125 metres, cross a stile by a five-bar gate and continue along the track. In another125 metres, turn right over a stile (signposted West Sussex Border Path).

The path rises through trees to a stile in a wire fence. Cross the stile and turn right on a woodland path. Go over the next stile into the field (signposted West Sussex Border Path) and cross the corner of the field to a three-way footpath finger post by a gateway in a copse.

Take the path to the left, along the fence line, with the trees on your right. At the corner of the copse, where the fence turns to the right, continue on the cross-field path to a stile at the edge of the wood. Cross the stile into the wood and continue on the way-marked main path.

Where the waymarking indicates a turn to the right, bear right for a few metres and turn right on to grassy crossing track. In thirty metres, turn left into a clearly waymarked path. At the end of the wood, cross the stile and footbridge and turn left along the field edge, with the wood on your left.

When the edge of the wood turns sharply away to your left, maintain the line you were walking and continue forward over the open field, following the waymarking post to the far left corner of the field. Cross the stile and bear right to a gate near the tennis courts. At the end of the tennis courts, turn left onto the farm road, leaving Waspboume Manor (dated 1606) on your right. Continue on the farm track until it reaches the main road, A275 (OS ref. 404232).

Turn left on the road, to reach Sheffield Park Bluebell Railway station and the end of the Railway Children Walk (OS ref 405236).
