The Hibiscus House is a haven
for serious walkers who like to come home to a little luxury
and relaxation.
Hibiscus is a popular choice
for those wishing to enjoy easy access to miles of mountain
trails from their front door. The villa nestles in the foothills
of the Kyrenia mountain range which sits proudly above the
Northern coast. Explore it by day, then watch its ridges fade
to shades of grey from the sanctuary of your armchair on a
candle-lit terrace at dusk.

ACCOMMODATION
The Hibiscus House sleeps 6 people (+ cot) in two double (one
en suite) and one twin bedroom. Downstairs the air-conditioned
lounge has two sofa-beds for larger groups. Comfortably equipped,
the non-smoking villa is full of modern conveniences including
a washing machine and dishwasher, DVDs music CDs- but no satellite
TV (our guests prefer to get away from reminders of home!).
Outside, amidst its flower-filled gardens you'll discover
citrus trees, a deliciously cooling chlorine-free pool, parking
for two cars, a jasmine covered honey-stone pergola, sun beds,
and parasols.

WALKING
You can choose between mountain walks or trails
through traditional villages clinging to the hillsides. Walk
for miles on tracks undisturbed by traffic and with fantastic
views in all directions. There are so many beautiful walks
to take; around old walled cities, up deserted mountain tracks,
along ancient crusader paths to fairytale castles, and over
sand dunes to deserted beaches.
Enjoy it with flowers! Cyprus in spring is
the best time to walk the many mountain and coastal footpaths.
Between February and May the island is a riot of colourful
blossoms and wild flowers. Cyclamens, anemones, narcissi and
wild tulips carpet ravines, fields and olive groves.
Between February and May local groups organise guided walks,
welcoming visitors who join them. All walks, as well as being
good exercise, endeavour to show walkers interesting natural
and historical features. Contact details can be forwarded
to guests prior to departure to aid advance planning.
